Reporting Period: July 1, 2021 – January 1, 2022. This is the first project update. The project objective is to evaluate the technologies, configurations, performance, operations & management (O&M) requirements, and costs of biological nutrient removal (BNR) control systems and online sensors to (1) synthesize the current state of the art, and (2) develop a framework for the practical and cost-effective implementation of BNR control systems with sensor technologies.
