Implementation of Innovative Biological Nutrient Removal Processes through Improvement of Control Systems and Online Analytical Measurement Reliability and Accuracy
Abstract
This project evaluated the technologies, configurations, performance, operations & management requirements, and costs of biological nutrient removal (BNR) control systems and online sensors to (1) synthesize the current state of the art, and (2) develop a framework for the practical implementation of BNR control systems with sensor technologies. Project results can be used to expedite the successful adoption of BNR control system innovation and maximize the value broadly across the sector at both large and small water resource recovery facilities.
