Abstract

The objective of this project was to design and build a pressure chamber for watertightness testing of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) laminates for pressures up to 500 psi, with the goal of developing analytical modeling and procedures to show that the test simulates the behavior of the pipe in the field, and to use the pressure chamber to test the watertightness of laminates.
