Abstract

Identifies, documents, and evaluates exemplary practices for integrating worker health and safety into the design of new and retrofit drinking water conveyance, treatment, and distribution systems. Assesses the cost effectiveness of incorporating the ergonomic designs in new and existing facilities. Also identifies and evaluates various proactive and reactive programs that promote worker health and safety at water utilities. Research partner: USEPA. Published in 2010.
