Abstract

This project aims to strengthen the water sector workforce by identifying and analyzing career progression pathways across public, private, and nonprofit organizations. Leveraging artificial intelligence and labor market data, the research will map critical roles, evaluate existing training and certification programs, and highlight best practices for recruitment and retention. The study will produce real-time insights, case studies, and practical tools to support utilities in addressing evolving workforce needs. Emphasis will be placed on accessibility, equity, and cross-sector mobility to ensure a resilient and future-ready workforce.
