Abstract

This project developed visual guidance about pipeline failures for field use and other utility functions. It provides a Field Guide and a report to identify failure types. The forces and environmental conditions causing pipe failures are explained to enable utilities to improve their condition assessment programs and to train employees to recognize and remediate failure causes of their pipeline assets. The Field Guide is posted below under Presentations. Published in 2017.
