Research Impact
This project identified tools and methods being used by water utilities in North America and Australia to estimate infrastructure funding needs for repair, replacement, and renewal decisions on water system assets, focusing on pipe, pump, and tank assets. The final report provides practical information and insights that will lead utilities to select tools and methods appropriate to their circumstances. Short case studies are used to illustrate the use of various tools and methods, and tools are categorized using an appropriate scheme to help the user compare similar approaches.
