Abstract

Identifies and assesses the impacts of seasonal or periodic conversion of chloraminated systems to free chlorine. Also quantifies the shifts that may occur in microbial and other water quality characteristics (DBP formation) within distribution systems when regular changes in disinfectant type are imposed on the distribution system. Examines both the impact on distribution system biofilms and water quality. Research partner: M/DBP Council. Published in 2006.
