Abstract

Evaluates the impact of ultraviolet disinfection on biofilm accumulation in drinking water distribution systems. Compares the effectiveness of chlorine dioxide, free chlorine, and monochloramine as secondary disinfectants for reducing bacterial regrowth (bulk water and biofilm cells) in the presence and absence of UV disinfection.
