Abstract

Assesses the effectiveness of various disinfectants (chlorine dioxide and UV) in suppressing biofilm growth in aqueduct water while minimizing formation of disinfection by-products. Tailored Collaboration partner: East Bay Municipal Utility District (Oakland, Calif.). Phase I published in 2005 as Impact of Chlorine Dioxide on Transmission, Treatment, and Distribution System Performance (Order 91082). Phase II published in 2006 as UV Disinfection at the East Bay Municipal Utility District (Order 91140).
