Abstract

This project studied two key areas of bromate toxicology and chemistry: (1) molecular toxicology studies to further existing health effects research, and (2) factors that may contribute to bromate formation in conventional and advanced drinking water treatment. The results establish a basis for non-genotoxic modes of action and should aid in the development of toxicologically based limits for bromate regulation.
