Abstract

In cooperation with The National Science Foundation, WRF developed a comprehensive technical conference to assess regrowth of pathogens in plumbing and distribution of drinking water, with emphasis on Legionella pneumophila, and provide best available recommendations to assist resolution. The conference was held May 9-11, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland, and assembled experts in all of the key technical areas to provide essential practical information that can be applied to reduce risks to the large populations at risk.

In addition, the research team plans to host a webcast series and disseminate a monograph of findings later in 2018.
