Abstract

This research provides insight into prioritizing future trace organic compounds efforts and provides an analytical technique that allows for the simultaneous detection of five trace organic compounds under positive and negative mode ionization. The research provides guidelines for performing trace organic compounds biotransformation batch tests including testing, sample preparation, and analyses. It introduces kinetic parameters and conceptual models for predicting trace organics concentrations in the effluent of full-scale water resource reclamation facilities. The final report summarizes key findings from the research and includes a detailed standardized protocol that is recommended for deployment at WRRFs interested in characterizing TOrC removal performance.
