Abstract

This project developed an electronic-based methodology to balance maximal service performance of assets with minimal cost of ownership. It evaluates benefits, compares direct and indirect costs, determines present value, allows for triple bottom line accounting, and values risks for failure. The final product is a methodology guidance as HTML pages and a spreadsheet tool, which can be ordered as a CD-ROM through the publication resource below, downloaded as a web tool, or accessed from the SIMPLE website. In March 2009, the electronic tool was integrated into the SIMPLE website under SAM TOOLS. (See Project #4013 to get to the SIMPLE website). WERF contracted this project to GHD. Research Partner: GWRC.
