Assessing the State of Knowledge and Research Needs for Stormwater Harvesting
Abstract
The field of stormwater harvesting is evolving and expanding as utilities and communities consider viable alternatives to increase water supplies, improve resiliency of water resources, and find multi-benefit and innovative approaches to addressing regulatory and water quality challenges. This research will evaluate the range of drivers and benefits communities are seeking through improved stormwater management, and develop recommendations for stormwater harvesting projects and associated research needs based on an understanding of stormwater harvesting practices at local, regional, and state levels.
