Abstract
This report provides an understanding of cost-effective technical alternatives for upgrading existing wastewater treatment plants for nitrogen removal. Case studies are used to illustrate the application of the technology. Design procedures and operating requirements of hybrid systems are included in an effort to encourage the appropriate application of this innovative technology. In addition, the report identifies research needs to advance the technology of hybrid systems. Published by WERF. 220 pages. Soft cover.
