This paper, “Analysis of the Effectiveness of Short-Term Demand Forecasting and Recommendations for Improvement,” examines the development of an econometric water demand forecasting model for El Paso, Texas. The forecasts produced by this model are then compared to forecasts from alternative models in order to gauge relative accuracy.
