Abstract

The objective of this research is to contribute to the development of techniques, tools, and methods for estimating performance and residual life of assets. It provides insights into an economic approach to decision making, applicable at multiple scales and in utilities of different levels of asset management sophistication. The researchers suggest a roadmap for building an asset management decision support framework based on economic principles, specifically focuses on sewers, and lays the foundation for further research into this area.
