Abstract

The objective of this project was to investigate (1) the sources of Cr(VI) within drinking water treatment plants, and (2) the fate and transport and how chromium speciation may change throughout the water treatment process and in the distribution system. This project engaged multiple drinking water systems in a highly resolved sampling project involving the collection of samples throughout treatment and the distribution system. Samples were analyzed for the various forms of chromium and the data were compiled and interpreted. Published in 2017.
