Abstract

Evaluates methods to increase effectiveness of sodium silicate and chlorine addition for manganese control and for iron control in the presence of calcium. Compares the sequestering ability of sodium silicates and polyphosphates in terms of the chemical basis for treatment differences and costs. Published in 1989.
