Abstract

Phase I of the project developed quantitative real-time PCR assays to detect Group F adenoviruses in water. Phase II of the project (Project #3181) will focus on the occurrence of adenovirus in source waters, and also develop treatment protocols for effective inactivation of adenoviruses by various combinations of UV, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chloramine, and ozone. Projects 3177 and 3181 will be published together. For more information, see Project #3181.
