Abstract

Evaluates recent findings indicating that, in some instances, tumors are produced in male rat kidneys by a mechanism specific to the species and therefore are not relevant to humans. Determines which regulated drinking water chemicals produce male rat kidney tumors by that male-rat-specific mechanism. Published in 1994.
