Abstract

Plant uptake of trace organic compounds is an important process when considering the risks associated with the land application of biosolids. This report includes a thorough review of available plant uptake models and the limitations associated with these models. An overview of the most important processes and pathways through which organic contaminants may enter vegetation from soil and soil porewater, and from atmospheric dry and wet deposition onto foliage is also provided. Published in 2020.
