Abstract

Determines the effectiveness of various innovative ultraviolet (UV) technologies to oxidize organic chemicals such as volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), pesticides, herbicides, disinfection by-product (DBP) precursors, and taste-and-odor compounds. Focuses on UV technologies already shown to inactivate protozoan pathogens. Research partner: USEPA. Published in 2004.
