Abstract

Provides guidance that contains case studies and decision trees. Includes user friendly chemical equilibrium software that can be used to analyze the available data, to search for the root causes and solutions to corrosion problems, to develop guidelines for corrosion mitigation that have a high degree of success, to test the validity of the guidelines on the basis of optimization studies performed by large utilities, and to serve as a platform for corrosion control decision-making. Published in 1997 as a two-part set: A General Framework for Corrosion Control Based on Utility Experience and Control of Pb and Cu Corrosion By-Products Using CORRODE Software.

Note: the CORRODE software is no longer available, as it is not compatible with current Windows operating systems.
