Abstract

This project evaluated operational practices and performance results for water resource recovery facilities designed to meet very low effluent total phosphorus (TP) concentrations, focusing on what can be learned from existing facilities to help utilities operate more sustainably while achieving the necessary level of performance. The researchers identify design and operating practices that impact phosphorus removal performance and consumption of resources. Published by WERF. 288 pages. Online PDF. (2015)
