Abstract

This project developed and demonstrated detailed response protocols for a subset of shocked biological treatment processes which could be integrated into a first generation Decision Support System (DSS). The resulting DSS framework provides systematic guidelines for short- and long-term operator actions that can be initiated during an upset event. This framework can serve as a starting point for utilities to develop WWTP specific response plans that deal with upset events. Published by WERF. 200 pages.
