Abstract

A large amount of operational and performance data is generated throughout a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP); however, the volume, format, and complexity of the information hinders its effective use. Decision support systems are needed to collect, manage and present this information in a useful format that will let operators and managers make informed decisions. This project identifies practices, tools, and methodologies for deriving greater value from the data at WWTPs and incorporating decision support systems into facilities' operational and decision-making processes. The results will serve as a foundation for defining standards and practices for data collection in WWTPs. Published by WERF. 66 pages. Soft cover.
