Data Integration for Water Quality Management
Research Impact
Develops strategies for optimal water quality data uses and flow within utilities that would allow effective integrated water quality management. Develops guidelines, or a set of standard requirements, to identify water quality data collection needs. Provides large and small utilities with assistance in developing strategic plans and establishing a reliable cost-effective water quality database. Also allows compatibility between utility, state, and federal database efforts; incorporates experience from other countries in development of these strategies; and provides utilities with the necessary tools for using water quality data to drive improved system operations.
