Abstract

This project consolidated and synthesized the existing literature on cyanotoxins into a summary document, which was reviewed during a facilitated workshop held in Boulder, CO, in June 2016. Workshop participants included leading academics, governmental scientists, water utility representatives, and consultants. During the workshop, the participants identified research gaps and needs related to cyanotoxins in drinking water, which will be translated into a multi-year research agenda for WRF's Focus Area, entitled "Cyanobacterial Blooms and Cyanotoxins: Monitoring, Control, and Communication Strategies." Published in 2018.

The facilitated workshop presentations were recorded and can be viewed on WRF's Expert Symposiums page.

In addition, the facilitated workshop also resulted in an educational video about cyanotoxins, which can be viewed on YouTube.
