Abstract
Establishes whether opportunistic and frank pathogenic bacteria can colonize and persist on biologically active filter media. Also investigates Giardia and Cryptosporidium for their ability to persist in biological filters. Determines if these filters are an important source of pathogens entering the distribution system.
