Abstract

This project, co-funded with the National Research Council and other organizations, involved a comprehensive study of the potential for water reclamation and reuse of municipal wastewater to expand and enhance the available water supply alternatives in the United States. The National Research Council published the full study as Water Reuse: Potential for Expanding the Nations Water Supply Through Reuse of Municipal Wastewater. The National Research Council also created a booklet, Understanding Water Reuse, which summarizes the main findings of the report. This booklet is available below for Water Research Foundation subscribers in print or as a PDF.
