Abstract

Obtains a general physical and chemical characterization of the residuals from surface complexation treatment of arsenic-containing waters. Studies the release of arsenic in natural environments from these treatment residuals, and evaluates methods to predict this release. Also investigates methods to bind arsenic to a variety of residuals, particularly the addition of metals and buffers to minimize arsenic release. Published in 2008.
