Abstract
DNA microarray technology has great potential in water and wastewater treatment analysis. At this time, however, there is little published data to support its use in these areas. This white paper evaluates the applicability of DNA microarray technology in water and wastewater treatment analysis, with the hope that by elucidating its needs for industry-wide application the technology will one day be a viable alternative for the detection of waterborne pathogens and the assessment of microbial water quality.
