This invite-only, two-day workshop, hosted by the Orange County Water District, is jointly organized by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWB) and The Water Research Foundation (WRF). The event brings together utilities, researchers, and partners to identify and prioritize research concepts for funding under SWB Grant 3. 
 

Workshop Goals:
  • Review state of science of potable and nonpotable reuse in CA.  
  • Identify biggest research gaps to accelerate implementation of reuse.  
  • Develop the research agenda and prioritize projects valued at $1.5M.

Reimbursement Instructions:

Please note the following important information:

  • Travel expenses for this workshop will be charged to the SWB grant.
  • Expense reports must be submitted within three weeks of travel using WRF’s new ERP platform and updated expense submission process.
  • Please retain and upload itemized receipts for all reimbursable expenses.
  • WRF is providing the following meals: catered coffee and lunch at OCWD on Monday; breakfast/coffee and lunch on Tues; as well as Monday night dinner at Jolie and The Belle. If you the timing of your travel requires additional meals, it must adhere to GSA per diem rates ($68 per day). Based on the $68/day rate, typical daily breakdowns are:
    • Breakfast: $16–$18
    • Lunch: $18–$20
    • Dinner: $28–$30
    • Incidentals: $5

WRF will cover the following directly or at the approved rates:

  • Hotel (paid directly by WRF)
  • Airfare
  • Mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile

To Submit a Reimbursement Request:

  1. Go to www.waterrf.org and click Log In in the upper right corner.
  2. Log in to your dashboard (My Portal).
    • If you have not logged in before or forgot your password, click Forgot Password to receive a reset email.
  3. In My Portal, select Workshop from the Service Position dropdown menu. 
  4. Click the button to complete and submit your expense report.

Parking and Rideshare Information

Parking is available at the Orange County Water District. Please click here to see directions and information on parking. 

For participants using who will be using rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft to get to OCWD.

For drop-off, the rideshare driver or passengers should provide the passenger/visitor names to the guard to gain entry past the gates. 
 
For pickup, the driver should simply inform the guard that they are there to pick up visitors.
