The Water Research Foundation and leading scientific and water sector experts presented the current state of knowledge on environmental surveillance of COVID-19 indicators in sewersheds. This environmental surveillance tool holds great promise for helping to inform prevalence of COVID-19 in communities. The virtual briefing included successful case examples and near-term research priorities for accelerating progress of this important work.
