Research Impact

Investigated the feasibility of remote sensing methods such as thermal imaging aimed at detecting leaks on transmission pipes and rural water distribution networks. Also identified and documented key problems associated with leakage from transmission pipes and rural distribution networks; identified and transferred technologies from other industries; and where necessary, modified these in line with requirements of water pipeline leak detection. Ended in 2005. The Foundation did not publish a report.
