User’s Guide for Integrated Stormwater and Wastewater Planning

Webcast

In 2012, US EPA published the Integrated Municipal Stormwater and Wastewater Planning Approach Framework, which was adopted into an amendment to the Clean Water Act in January 2019. This approach is a fundamental shift towards affordable, comprehensive planning for municipal utilities – moving away from decades of focus on individual sources of specific pollutants during NPDES and consent decree negotiations.

This webcast summarized findings, including case studies, from a three-year research project Users’ Guide for Integrated Planning for Wastewater and Stormwater (4854/SIWM9R14), along with a completed example from a utility and a summary of the State of Ohio’s recent community workshop. Representatives of regulatory agencies and utilities/municipalities interested in learning about integrated plans are highly encouraged to view on demand.
