Pathogen Revolution: The Bugs We Thought We Knew and the Ones We Never Thought About!
*Please note, this is not a typical WRF webcast recording. It is a casual fireside chat discussion.*
The Water Research Foundation kicked off a Moment of Science webcast series celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Paul L. Busch (PLB) Award, which recognizes innovative research in the field of water quality and the water environment. This event was a fireside chat featuring four past winners of the Paul L. Busch Award who will discuss next-generation metagenomics and the pathogen revolution. Specific topics included molecular tools and biomarker responses, next-generation DNA sequencing-based tools for pathogens and antibiotic resistance genes, virus methods, and low-cost and real-time characterization of microbial communities in the engineered water cycle.
