Developing strong customer relationships based on a deeper understanding of customer needs is a highly valuable strategic
move for clean water agencies (CWAs), and can create long-term value for both the water industry and local communities. A strategic framework is needed to guide CWAs towards the actions that will be the most impactful in enhancing customer relationships.

This self-assessment tool, developed under project 4678, assists CWAs in understanding their current levels of progress towards a strategic framework consisting of three key stages: (1) building awareness, (2) establishing common ground, and (3) creating engagement.
