Research Impact

Investigates the fate and transport of pathogenic and indicator viruses in soils and aquifer materials under a range of environmental conditions. Generalizes results from laboratory batch and column studies. Also investigates effects on virus transport of soil water content, soil-water and air-water interfaces, soil metal oxides, and buffer solutions of different ionic composition and strength. Discusses results in relation to the Ground Water Rule. Published in 2002.
