Toxic Chlorinated Compounds: Fate and Biodegradation in Anaerobic Digestion
$0
Abstract
In this report, WERF's researchers describe the potential for removing or degrading chlorinated organic compounds (COCs) in anaerobic digestion and present a guide for others to better define the fate and pathways of COCs. Information in this report can be used to manipulate operating conditions to favor electron donor use by dechlorination bacteria, rather than by methanogenic bacteria. Rates and pathways are described and by-product formation is reported. 236 pages. PDF Only. (1998)
