Abstract

This structured assessment of the chemical, physical, and biological conditions in a waterbody is an extensive technical resource for performing use attainability analysis. The detailed review also includes an analysis of social and economic impacts associated with attaining the designated beneficial uses. A recently updated companion document, Collaborative Water Quality Solutions: Exploring Use Attainability Analyses, 2006, includes decision-making models which help the user focus on their own realistic policy issues.
