Abstract

This project developed a comprehensive white paper that compiles up-to-date information available on perchlorate contamination and occurrence, regulatory status, and treatment technologies. The white paper describes what is known about the issue, identifies critical knowledge gaps and potential research needs, and addresses potential sources of information that can help inform and clarify the issue. It also recommends next steps that may be taken by the Water Research Foundation and its partners in follow-up research efforts. Published in 2011.
