Abstract

Evaluates water quality conditions that cause aluminum to remain in solution through the treatment plant and persist in solution or possibly precipitate in the distribution system. Also discusses chemistry and potential causes of residual aluminum and provides guidance on potential measures to minimize aluminum levels in finished water. Published in 1987.
