Abstract

The project had the following objectives: 1) conduct a critical review of existing literature on strontium and related metals removal from water, and 2) conduct exploratory lab-scale evaluations of the form in which strontium is found in different water quality conditions. The final report synthesizes these findings and makes recommendations for a future research project focused on evaluating strontium treatment options/technologies at the bench-scale, as well as water quality parameters and conditions that may impact removal.
