Nitrate and Arsenic Removal From Drinking Water With a Fixed-Bed Bioreactor

Abstract

This project developed and optimized a novel technology to simultaneously remove arsenic and nitrate from drinking water sources, and investigated the possibility of a single biological treatment system using microorganisms present in groundwater to remove these contaminants with minimal by-product formation. Published in 2014.
