Abstract

Performs a study on the fouling effects of marine algae and algogenic organic matter on integrated membrane desalination systems. Aids utilities and membrane manufacturers in understanding the fundamental principles involved in phytoplankton fouling so that appropriate technologies can be piloted and implemented. Research partner: DOE. Published in 2010.
