Abstract
Evaluates the efficacy of pretreating biosolids by applying an electrical arc prior to chemical conditioning and dewatering. Demonstrates how laboratory evaluations and plant-scale testing did not provide evidence of significant, reproducible, or cost-effective improvements in biosolids dewaterability. This report is primarily of value to those utilities who currently use or are considering using the electrical arc process for pretreatment of biosolids. Soft cover.
