Abstract
Controlling the growth of filamentous organisms in activated sludge is important for secondary clarifier design and performance. As a follow-up to the detailed investigation of wastewater utilities reported in the previous 01CTS4 study, WERF researchers evaluated differences between a multiple-staged selector configuration and single-stage selector design. They found that staged anoxic selectors performed better than single stage units. Published by WERF. 106 pages. Online PDF. (2008)
